a few things...

+ We are sick here in the DB household. We'd managed to avoid it until February! If only we could have hung on a little bit longer. Sebastian has a fever, my nose is running like a faucet, and LD lost his voice. Here's to getting well soon!

+ I have a few things planned for this here blog. My Life in Scotland has evolved these past 5 yrs. I've been fumbling about where exactly I wanted it to go and what I was even doing with it anymore. But, I think I've figured it out. Expect some new changes in the coming weeks.

+ Our interview with BBC Radio Scotland will air on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Check us out:: Here On a One Way Ticket

+ While I was sick last night all I wanted to do was watch North & South {with hottie Richard Armitage!}. It took me over an hour to find the DVD. LD hid it from me.

+ Sebastian turned 2 yrs old last Saturday. I can't even talk about it. He's getting so big. He's not a baby anymore. I love it and hate it all at the same time.

+ I'm reading Prodigy by Marie Lu right now and if I can just get in the mood for dystopian then I know I'll love it. But, I've been stuck in a contemporary romance funk for awhile. I'm not proud of this.

+ I'm so in the mood for pizza it is unreal. But, my stomach can't handle it right now.

+ The weather got into freezing temps a few weeks ago. I was actually missing the rain. Then it rained every day for 2 weeks. Sebastian and I got out every single day. Rain is much better than freezing weather. Even if the sun was out! {my friends tell me this officially makes me a Scot}

+ How are all of you? Staying healthy I hope! What news do you have for me? Is anyone doing anything fun this winter? I'm ready for spring!

  1. I'm sorry you'be been sick! Not fun. I just had baby girl 2. She's 3 weeks old. We're getting our house ready to go on the market in March. Now that she's here, we are starting to really think about moving to Glasgow in June. Sometimes I don't think it's real and I cry about leaving our family. When I get the time, I need to email you with questions. It would be fun to meet up this summer!

  2. We've been battling sickness too. Riley had double ear infections a few weeks ago. The rest of us have had a cough or sore throat but nothing too major.

Looking forward to whatever you have planned for the blog!

Riley turns 2 in 2 months! I too am not happy about this.

I'm reading Prodigy right now too! It's good. I like it, mostly.

I'm getting a salad from Buffalo Wild Wings today. You almost made me switch to Coal Fire pizza!

It's been super cold here too! We had one day that it went all the way up to 70 degrees then way back down to the 30's the next day! Needless to say lots of snow melted and things flooded. We're supposed to be getting a wintery mix today but it's not looking too bad as of right now. :)

Nothing fun planned right now. Getting my eyes examined tomorrow. Been having horrible headaches and my vision just isn't as good lately. Looking forward to a new Rx and "maybe" some new frames. I really love the ones I've had for nearly 5 years now. I have two of the same kind, just different colors. :)

    1. Jess, I honestly though we were going to get through this winter without getting sick. We've not got the epidemic that the States do so I was sure we could make it. I thought wrong. It's hung on and it is just not fun being sick at the same time as Sebastian.

I keep stopping with Prodigy. It's good but my head is fuzzy. And I wish it was on Kindle not a paperback. Ugh.

It was 45 degree's yesterday and I thought we were having a heave wave!

  3. So sorry to hear you have all been sick and hope you're all better real soon.
We've just finished watching North and South - liked it a lot.
Also just finished having pizza for supper. : ) We think alike.
Lots of rain here too and I went for my morning walk in it.
We have stayed healthy so far!
Husband has just retired and this is his first full week home. It's been a good week and it's nice having him home.

    1. North & South! We're kindred spirits!

We've been walking in the rain. I'm used to it and it is easier to get out in than all the cold!

Congrats to your husband the retiree!! That must feel so good! Now, it is time for relaxing and doing all those things you've wanted to.
