Falling For Friday

I can't believe another week has passed. LD went away on business so Sebastian and I have been home doing our own thing.

Sebastian is going through a growth spurt. He's been taking 3.5-4 hr naps this week. Whoa. I'm not complaining. I freaking love it! We've had lots of park dates and walks around town. I got in a few good naps too!

We're planning a relaxed weekend here at the DB household. We're dropping into Glasgow on Saturday for a post I'm working on. I'll be able to share it soon!

Here are some things I saw, read, and loved around the internet this week::

+ Dear Girls Above Me is a hilarious website. This guy lives below some girls that he can hear everything they say! Then he lets us know the stuff they say. I've been laughing all week.

+ My husband's native country is Venezuela. Hugo Chavez {Vzla President} died this week. Loads of people have been asking how he feels about it. He found {this} post that sums up exactly how he feels.

+ I love {this} bathing suit. They call them swimming costume's in Scotland. Isn't that a hoot?! It is always hard to find a good plus size bathing suit. I'm in dire need of a new one. Yet, I hate to spend money on myself.

+ I'd like to try and make {these} paper flowers. They'd be a cute addition to my bookcase. Don't you think?

+ 55 gentle ways to take care of yourself. I totally need this. It is part of my 2013 goals and all. I need to look after me.

+ When we buy a home I want my living room to look something like this. Really bright and simple. Yet cozy. I'm kind of in love with the plate wall. I could find all sorts of Victorian plates in all different time periods to decorate my walls. I love it.

+ I need a space saver for Sebastian's room. I love these hanging plant baskets. I think they will be great for stuffed animals and books.

I hope these posts fill your weekend with some reading. I'll see you back here on Monday.

I'm linking up with my real life friend Kelly at Westover Manner.

  1. Eric and I have had a conversation about bathing suits with skirts... In short he is not a fan. I think they can be super cute, like the one you have here. I think it's some kind of weird childhood memory/scaring for him.

And yes, those paper flowers would be super cute!!

    Just love // kelly

    1. I think the big bathing suit skirts look very 80's. Very...tent-ish. But I like the smaller ones. We big girls need a bit more coverage!

  6. That bathing suit is cute! I need one too, but everything is so matronly on me. My problem area is cleavage--way too much here, no matter the bathing suit style. Anyway, I went through and read a lot of your other links. Great stuff! Wish we could meet up for a play date!

    1. We would LOVE a playdate! Sebastian needs some new friends. I fear we've spent too much time just the two of us this winter.

  11. Why's that swim suit gotta be plus sized?! I LOVE it. It's looks cute and flirty and does an amazing job of covering the undesirableness that I hate: bikini lines and my tummy.

  12. Oh, and I've seen those hanging plant wall things before and I really like the idea too. I also love gutter book shelves. I'd love to do both in little man's room sometime.

  13. I'm a WVian who also met her Scottish husband online in 2006, even though he was already over here in the US. We're still here in the US, and hub isn't too keen on moving back to Scotland as he fears I will hate it. Maybe one day...
