Yesterday I packed the kitchen. Well, what I could. We do need to eat this week. It's a shame because I just wanted to throw it all into a box and shut the door. Yes, our kitchen has a door. We could eat out all week I suppose, but that would cost a small fortune and I'm all about getting rid of this food so I don't have to bring it with us.
I packed and packed. Kitchen's are the hardest because they have all these small things like spices and measuring spoons. You literally have to touch everything. I scrubbed the cupboards and did load after load of laundry. All the while I rotted Sebastian's brain out with television and let him eat all the cookies. Good parenting over here.
When LD got home the sun was still out so we hopped in the car and he took us to the park. Sebastian goes crazy at this park. You'd think I kept him locked up all day or something.
Sebastian headed right for the swings and kept saying, "Higher! Higher! Up! Up!" We ran all over the park and he was obsessed with the kids zip line. He just wanted to be like one of the big kids. He was so excited to be next to them. He jumped and laughed when each of them went on the ride. It was just the cutest.
Of course when we tried to steer him back to the little kids area he cried buckets of tears. The world was ending. No trip to the park would be complete without a little bit of crying. We decided to head over to the loch and watch the ducks. Sebastian ran straight to them yelling, "Quack! Quack!" Those swans were bigger than him!
The air is getting cooler and I'd wished I had brought a sweater or a light jacket. I can't even believe that the cooler weather is coming. The leaves are already starting to change and even fall to the ground. Autumn is coming fast! I love fall but after fall comes winter and I'm not really a fan past Christmas.
It was a really nice evening together as a family. To think I almost didn't go. I was thinking about staying and doing some more cleaning. But, family time is more important.
This post isn't really about anything. Just a little record of our last days here in Motherwell. It was a good evening. We need more of these.
