Since moving to Scotland 7 yrs ago, LD has wanted a kilt. He's always drooling over them. Kilts are totally manly. Don't you think? There is something about them that screams, "I'm man enough to wear a skirt! With pleats!"
When Sebastian was about 18 months old we went to the Kilt Run in Perth. We'd heard they were trying to make the Guinness Book of World Record's for the most kilts running at once. We just had to see it! My mom made Sebastian his first kilt to wear to the event. The whole day strangers were asking for picture with Sebastian. He just looked hilarious! I made the mistake of saying it out loud as some Scotsmen walked by. They turned around, looked me in the eye and said, "He doesn't look hilarious he looks like a proper Scotsman." And he did. Sebastian looked like he belonged.
Heritage of Scotland sent my boys matching kilts. When they came in the post LD was like a kid on Christmas morning. All his dreams had come true! When we opened the package we were actually blown away by the quality. Thick fabric and the pleats were deep. I just couldn't wait to get my boys in them. Don't they look good?!
Heritage of Scotland doesn't just have kilts. They have all manner of Scottish goodies. From tartan scarves to fudge. Or how about something more casual for running around town? Christmas is coming and this is the perfect time to get your significant other a little something from Scotland. They ship internationally and they even gift wrap. But please, I don't want to see anyone getting one of these.
A special Thank you to Heritage of Scotland for providing the kilts and also to YOU for supporting the companies that support this blog--even though there's only ever been 3. ;)
